The Story
Born in modern day Greece, Maelani is the daughter of Ares and a mortal woman. Though Maelani did not know Ares personally, only growing up with stories her mother had told her. She assumed that Ares not being in her life was due to her showing no signs of having the divine power and status of a Demi-God, thus leading her to resent her father. Her mother sadly passed away from an unknown illness when she was 16, leaving Mae on her own. Distancing herself from Greece and her origin, travelling the world. Eventually, Mae was discovered and captured by the Goddesses Até and Nemesis. The two Gods would torture and torment Maelani, intending to break her so that they may remold her into their perfect weapon for Retribution and Ruin. This also lead to the manifestation of her own divine power. After wiping her memories and replacing them with memories of serving the two Goddesses, imbued with their power, and armed with their boons, Maelani was successfully transformed into Até'a perfect weapon for revenge against the Gods of Olympus. The Dark Wonder Woman was born.
